Joanne Bernardini, Photographer
Treasures of Ireland
Joanne
Bernardini was bitten by the shutterbug after receiving her first camera at the tender age of six.
It was then that a life long passion for photography was born.
Initially concentrating in portrait photography she has expanded her
focus. In the last several years, through her involvement with the
Ocean City Fine Arts League and the encouragement of Master Artist
James Penland, she has come to appreciate photography as a true art
form. This has led her to concentrate on scenes that evoke a serene
response in the viewer. She strives to capture that moment in time when
the viewer experiences a wave of peacefulness wash over them while
viewing a sunset, a lazy stroll on the beach or the excitement of the
wind in a sail. When the stresses of life get too much, the viewer need
only look at the photo and be carried back to that moment in time again.
Phil Greenspun
Besides
being a fine photographer, Phil is a phenomenon; he survived and
recuperated from that left him in a coma for six months! His
tenacity, spirit, and love of life are an inspiration. Come and
meet Phil, peruse his book, "My Life Through a Lens" and enjoy his
beautiful work on the walls of the Creperie

Leslie M. Ficcaglia
Portrait Artist
Leslie
M. Ficcaglia is a member of the Portrait Society of America. Largely
self-taught, she attended life classes at The Art Students' League
while a student at New York University and more recently studied
landscape painting with Glenn Rudderow, of the Pennsylvania Academy of
Fine Arts, to learn oil techniques. Lately she has expanded her
repertoire to include plein air painting with pastels. She is a
frequent exhibitor at the Avalon Art Show and has demonstrated
figurative techniques both there and for the Society of New Jersey
Artists. Her portraits have been featured in articles and photographs
in local papers, the Press of Atlantic City, and the Philadelphia
Inquirer; they have been the subject of a radio interview and her work
was also highlighted in the magazine New Jersey Savvy Living. Her
commissioned paintings hang in public and private settings in New
Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, Nevada, California,
and Southwest France. You can view Leslie's paintings of
French settings at www.leslieficcaglia.org/labellefrance.htm.
